Sydney FC National Youth League player Keifer Dotti has been given high praise for his attitude and commitment to grassroots football, after appearing at the “First Touch” Football Clinic at Fraser Park Football Club.

The course was set up by Fraser Park coaches John Geary and Allan Jones with the aim of promoting “one touch” football.

Dotti was invited along to help give advice and assistance to the youngsters having played under the two coaches at APIA Leichhardt as a 14-year old in 2008.

“Keifer was then, as he is today, a model player who always gives 100% of himself to the game he loves – Football,” said Skills Acquisition Program coach John Geary.

“He was a fine ambassador for Sydney FC and a great advertisement for young players and what they can achieve,” he continued.

During the clinic the defender interacted with under 9-s to under 11-s, refereed the end of camp “World Cup” match, answered questions on football and life and stopped to take photos and sign autographs.

“The players re-acted positively to Keifer and were in awe with his presence,” said Geary.

“He displayed outstanding professionalism through the whole clinic for a solid 2 hours and this was truly valuable to our camp being a success.

“It-s great to see Sydney FC supporting the “Grass Roots” football community and the development of future Socceroos,” he concluded.

Dotti, who was a member of the Sydney FC Youth squad last season, was equally happy to be a part of the set up.

“It was great having a bit of a laugh and a bit of fun with the kids, hopefully to inspire and help them go on to bigger and better things,” he said.

“John and Allan had me in the under 14-s. They taught me a lot of things in the game that I still use today.

“It-s good to be able to give back to the kids, so they are getting it from coaches and players too.”

Having finished the season with the Sky Blues, Dotti is now playing in the New South Wales Premier League with the Rockdale City Suns.
