Dutch defender Jordy Buijs joined Sydney FC until the end of the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 season in January 2017. The 28-year old has made over 200 appearances in the Dutch top flight and is a ball-playing central defender who is known for his deadly set pieces. Buijs has represented Dutch clubs including Feyenoord, De Graafschap, NAC Breda and SC Heerenveen and became a fan favourite at a number of those clubs with his passion and mentality.
