Sydney FC Membership Intern

Sydney FC is inviting football fans in tertiary education to gain some valuable experience in the Sports Industry.

We are seeking 2-3 people available 1 day a week to learn and assist in our Membership Department. This is a fully immersive position; you will be involved in learning tasks including:

Receiving and processing applications
Understanding the membership, stadium and seating policies
Full instruction on the Membership software
Customer Service
Game Day activations

Interns will learn every aspect of the Membership department, with opportunities for future employment. Sydney FC recruits entry level employees from past interns.

Reporting to:
Shane Porter – Ticketing and Membership Manager

Skills Required:
Excellent Computer Skills
Great Social skills, phone and in person
Positive and friendly attitude
Knowledge of football
Previous experience with a CMS system a bonus but not a pre-requisite

Extremely High attention to detail
Desire to help people
Willingness to learn
Aged 18+

Hours required:
180 - 200 Contact hours
One weekday per week, 9am-5pm, August - November
Game Days as required. May be midweek in evenings for pre-season (July-September) and weekends for A-League & W-League seasons (October-April)

Interns must be currently undertaking a course relevant to the position, i.e. Sports Management or Business Management with a sports aspect.

Please note as the internship runs into the next calendar year, we are unable to accept applicants who must have their internship certified for 2019. Any requests for a final evaluation in this period will be denied.
