Sydney FC Head Coach Frank Farina has said it-s up to the collective group to perform on Saturday as the Sky Blues prepare to host Perth Glory at Allianz Stadium (kick off 5:30pm).

With Sydney FC sitting in seventh position, a win would propel the Sky Blues into the top six and into final-s football contention.

“We-re still in a good position with nine games to go,” said Farina.

“I-m not happy with results at the moment and if it means changes in personnel and positions that-s what we-ve got to look at.

“We-ve got to strive to get results and it-s not about the individuals it-s about the collective group. I expect everyone here that-s ready to play to be prepared to stand up and fight like everyone else.”

Farina said his eyes are firmly set on the upcoming games and that he would not be deterred by external factors as he called for the fans to turn out in their numbers.

“Sydney is most probably a different beast to most other clubs,” said Farina.

“You can see by the supporter-s reactions that they love the club. My future is focussing purely and simply on the games coming up and if we do well then everyone-s happy.

“I hope for the team [that the members and Cove will turn out in numbers].”

Sydney FC haven-t lost a home game against Perth since December 2008 and Farina is not only looking to achieve three points but is hopeful that a victory will further galvanise his squad as finals football approaches.

“We-ve still got 9 games to go so at this stage really that-s the sole focus from my point of view,” Farina said.

“I know this year that every player that has taken to the park has done their best irrespective of what the results might have been and nothing changes.

“We expect and we want the same thing. Whether this week galvanises them and makes them stronger we-ll wait and see.”
