Sydney FC has received some good news in the transfer market in recent weeks and the positive news continues with the rehabilitation of Brett Emerton, Pascal Bosschaart and Nathan Sherlock.

All there have undergone off season surgery and all three are progressing well with their rehabilitation programs under the watchful eye of Sydney FC Physiotherapist Stan Ivancic, which will continue while the rest of the squad enjoys a well-earned five week off-season break.

“Emerton saw the surgeon last Friday and is now out of his “Moon Boot” and is fully weight bearing on his ankle,” Ivancic said. “He has now started the physiotherapy and rehabilitation program and the plan is to have him fully fit and available for the start of the A-League competition in October. The focus for the next month will be on improving Brett-s range of mobility and flexibility as well as strengthening his lower limb muscles. He is a thorough professional and already he has been working hard to retain and improve his upper-body strength and with that professionalism we are sure he will remain on track.”

“Bosschaart is still undergoing a physio and rehabilitation program in Europe and is progressing well,” Ivancic said. “He will return to Sydney at the end of this month when it is time to step up the program on his Achilles.”

“Sherlock had surgery to release his groins and is already back running on the training park,” Ivancic said. “Nathan is also progressing very well and there have been no complications since he started his running program.

“All three players will continue their physio and rehab program while the squad is on holidays.”
