Sydney FC marquee Alessandro Del Piero says he is fit and ready to go against the Hyundai A-League-s bottom club Melbourne Heart at Allianz Stadium this Sunday (kick off 5pm).

However the striker has warned the Sky Blues not to underestimate the winless Heart.

“I-m ok, I have to stay with the team and take the next step and train with them,” said the World Cup Winner.

“Alone everything is ok and if today and tomorrow inside the team is ok then I think everything goes good.

“I think the Heart is a better team than the ladder says and that-s why it is a very tough game.

“We are at home and we have to use our fans and a good moment that we live in now, this is the key to me.”

Del Piero has also praised the contribution new forward Ranko Despotovic has made to Sydney FC since arriving.

“He-s had a great impact because he has scored two goals and for sure he is an excellent player.

“He needs time to adapt to the long trip and new training with us but I think he is ok. The most important thing is that Frank is ok with him though not me.”

Watch this Sunday’s Double Header when Sydney FC’s Westfield W-League team head to Allianz Stadium, kick off at 2.15pm. Watch the girls against Melbourne Victory followed by the Hyundai A-League squad taking on Melbourne Heart at 5pm.
