Sydney FC midfielder Hagi Gligor says he feels he has made a good transition to the Hyundai A-League ahead of Sydney FC’s blockbuster clash against the Western Sydney Wanderers at Allianz Stadium on Saturday (kick off 7:45pm).

After being on the periphery of the first team squad and playing for the youth team for three years, Gligor is in line to take part in his first ever Sydney Derby and is excited by the prospect of continuing his role in the centre of the park for the Sky Blues.
“Hopefully I get the opportunity to play,” Gligor said.
“The rivalry between Western Sydney and Sydney FC is massive, the derby games are always great to watch and great to be a part of. If I get the opportunity to play it would be unbelievable.
“I definitely feel like a first team player now having played a few games. I feel very comfortable playing with the boys.”
Gligor revealed he-s been keeping an eye out for this match since the fixture lists were released and the 18 year old says he-s not daunted by the prospect of a massive Allianz Stadium crowd.
“Throughout the season this is the one game I-ve really wanted to play,” said Gligor.
“If I get the opportunity it-s going to be unbelievable. A lot of the boys here have experienced it and talked about it and if I get to be a part of it that would be great.
“I-ve been a part of a few big crowds but it won-t compare to anything that we-ll have this weekend.
“The atmosphere, even just watching the game, has been great. Both teams, their crowds are very
passionate and it-s going to be one to look forward to.”
