Sydney FC-s women remain in the top three of the Westfield W-League after fighting out a fierce draw against Canberra United in their round-seven encounter in the ACT.

An injury depleted Sydney side fell behind in the first half but went into the break with a share of the honours, courtesy of a 43rd minute penalty from Jordan Marsh.

The Sky Blue women finished with a flourish and could easily have claimed victory but the scoreline remained unchanged, leaving both sides to settle for a point.

Sydney will be looking for a strong performance when it returns home to Parramatta Stadium next Saturday to play host to the struggling Perth Glory.
