Thumbnail

Sydney FC travel to face the Central Coast Mariners in Gosford on Sunday afternoon (kick off 6pm AEDT).

The Sky Blues are sitting pretty at the top of the table with a 10 point lead over the second placed Melbourne City, and with three games in hand.

Head Coach Steve Corica’s men return from Japan on Friday and come up against a Mariners side who are winless in their last five consecutive Hyundai A-League encounters.

Sky Blue Milos Ninkovic, and the Mariners Milan Duric, are two midfielders sure to dictate proceedings on Sunday, and will have a large say in which way the points go after 90 minutes.

Let’s look at the ‘Tale of the Tape’ between the two midfielders.

Despite playing two games less than his  compatriot at the Mariners, Milos Ninkovic continues to excel in the Sky Blues’ midfield and is a driving force behind the club’s potent attack that’s scored 34 goals this season already.

With their goals. assists, key passes and shots on target all similar, it’s Ninkovic’s passing accuracy that sees him excel, with the former Red Star Belgrade star earning an admirable 86.9% passing accuracy in 2019/20.

With two like-minded midfielders going head to head on Sunday at Central Coast Stadium, it’s sure to be an exciting clash. Tune in and back your Sky Blues on Fox Sports 505, streamed on the My Football Live App or follow @SydneyFC on Twitter for updates.
