Sydney FC centre half Adam Griffiths is confident his injury problems are behind him and he can look forward to playing his best football for the Sky Blues.

Griffiths has been troubled by hamstring and knee injuries since joining at the start of this season, but has given his body plenty of time to recover from his latest setback, and expects to play at Newcastle on Saturday.

“The last one [injury] was the knock on the knee and it-s disappointing because I tried to play but it wasn-t right,” said the former Socceroo.

“Now I-ve made sure that it is right so that doesn-t happen again. Hopefully I can kick on and get some form coming into the finals.”

The ex-Newcastle Jet is likely to come up against his former club this weekend after suspensions ruled out Brazilian defenders Tiago and Fabio.

“It-s always good to play against you-re old team, especially when you have good memories there,” said Griffiths.

“But now I-m with the Sky Blue, everything is for them and we want to beat Newcastle Jets on Saturday.”

It-s also set to be a family affair for Griffiths at Hunter Stadium with twin brother Joel up front for the Sky Blues, while other sibling Ryan shouldn-t expect an easy ride in the Jets frontline.

“I-m going to get into him on the weekend that-s for sure,” said Adam.

Sydney FC are now offering BLOCKBUSTER 4-Packs for the final four home games of the regular season. The massive games include clashes with the reigning A-League Champions Brisbane Roar, the current top two in the standings Central Coast Mariners and Adelaide United, plus another Big Blue and the fierce rivalry against Melbourne Victory, all at Allianz Stadium. Prices start from just $90 to see all four games as Sydney reach the exciting run-in to the A-League Finals Series.
