Sydney FC Head Coach Frank Farina has told his players he demands the same performance as they produced against the Central Coast Mariners last weekend, when Melbourne Victory visit the Allianz Stadium on Saturday night (kick off 7.45pm).

The 2-0 win lifted Sydney to fifth on the A-League ladder and Farina wants nothing less on Saturday.

“They-re all big games, Victory are third and the Wanderers next week.

That attitude has to be there, if it-s not then they shouldn-t be here,” he said.

“I-m expecting and wanting the same attitude and commitment that they all showed last week.

Melbourne will provide and equally tough test for the Sky Blues who have won their last six at home but Farina isn-t over confident.

“They [Melbourne} are a very good side, they most probably haven-t been as consistent as Ange would have liked but they-ve got some really dangerous players, and they are a very mobile team which is very good in this league,” he said.

“With Archie and Rojas in particular up front they can hurt you.

“We-ve got to be as disciplined as we were against the Mariners because they are a very fit side as well, and we handled it quite well I thought.

“We know what we are up against but if we stick to what we-re being asked to do and expected to do then we-ve got a chance.
