Making his first foray into the Hyundai A-League in season 2015/16, Filip Holosko grew to become a powerful and influential winger in the Sky Blues’ set up.
The Slovakian finished as Sydney FC’s Golden Boot, striking 10 times in 24 games, with his goals shared evenly between his right and left foot at five each.
In total, Holosko had 49 efforts at goal from all ranges, however it was his ability inside the 18 yard box that proved most fruitful for the number 21, with all his goals coming from inside the penalty area.
In distribution, Holosko ended the season with a passing accuracy of 73.2%, completing 546 of his 746 attempted passes. Predominately deployed on the right flank, he peppered the opposition box with 37 crosses from open play while creating 22 chances and earning four assists.
Often tasked with tracking back in defence, Holosko completed 28 of his 33 attempted tackles, while making 22 clearances and 18 interceptions.
Completing his debut season with the Sky Blues, Holosko has established a solid footing from which to propel from in the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 season which is set to kick off in October.
