The Sydney FC Head Coach was part of the club-s inaugural A-League backroom staff in the 2005/06 Championship winning season and is aware occasions like this don-t come along too often.

“It-ll be a great atmosphere here on the weekend obviously with Alessandro-s first game at home,” he said.

“There has been a lot of hype around so it-s one to just embrace and enjoy because it-s not too often that we-ve been able to get close to a full house here. It-ll be brilliant.”

Sydney FC hope to break their record attendance for a regular A-League fixture, which stands at over 33,000.

Crook will need to replace young star Terry Antonis after the 18 year old was ruled out with concussion, sustained the 2-0 defeat in Wellington.

“We-ve got a couple of options at the moment whether we put young (Hagi) Gligor in or Dimi Petratos.

“We-ll assess things from today and some other stuff from the other day, then myself, Bimbi (Steve Corica – Asst Coach) and Spider (Zeljko Kalac – Goalkeeper coach) will sit down and decide that,” he concluded.

Saturday-s game will be preceded by a celebrity match with a Unicef team including Wallabies World Cup Winning captain Nick Farr-Jones and Sydney FC-s dual international Ellyse Perry taking on a Fox Sports team with Premier League winners Robbie Slater and Mark Bosnich, plus presenter Mel McLaughlin. Kick-off is at 3.30pm.
