Sydney FC midfielder Milos Dimitrijevic has said it’s great to be back at the Sky Blues as the Serbian completed his first full week back at training.
Dimitrijevic, the Sky Blues 2014/15 Player of the Year, said that while there may have been doubt surrounding his future he believes he’s made the right decision to return to Sydney FC for the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season.
“It feels very good, I’m very happy to be back at Sydney FC,” he said.
“It’s the best feeling when you come back and you see all the people are happy to see you and wish me a good welcome home and I’m very happy.
“In football you never know and after the end of the season on the holiday I thought about everything and I think I made the right decision to come back.
“I feel very happy here and the people are happy with me. I think it is the best decision.
“It was very good to see the boys again [on Monday],” he continued.
“They are now friends for me not just team mates. We are very good friends and I was very happy to see them again.”
Of the new players added to Head Coach Graham Arnold’s squad, Dimitrijevic said he’s most familiar with namesake Milos Ninkovic as he set his sights on going one better than last season.
“We definitely want to win the league and win the grand final,” he said.
“I think this is the best we can do because last year we were second and this year we must be first.
“I already know Milos Ninkovic because he’s from Serbia,” he continued.
“The other boys are also very good and look very fit and I think we will have a very good team this season.”
