Sydney FC striker Kofi Danning will take a fond trip down memory lane when he helps launch this year-s McDonald-s Kanga Cup on Sunday 4 July in his hometown of Canberra.

The annual youth tournament is the showpiece event for the nation-s most promising young players.

The tournament holds a special place in Danning-s heart – he has twice won the Player of the Tournament Award – first in the U12 level in 2003 and then again for the U15 level in 2005.

Danning will be attending the tournament-s opening ceremony and will be on hand for autograph signing as well as photograph opportunities with the Hyundai A-League trophy between 3pm and 5pm on Sunday 4 July.

Sydney FC will be sponsoring the U12 Player of the Tournament Award with the winner to receive a boot bag containing a Sydney FC Champions T-shirt, a Champions cap and a ball signed by the Sky Blues 2010/11 team.
