Sydney FC Head Coach Ian Crook says he can-t wait to get started as he looks forward to his first full game in charge of the Sky Blues.

Crook takes his team to Campbelltown Stadium on Tuesday night (14th August) to take on the Macarthur Rams in Sydney FC-s first trial of the pre-season.

“I think I might keep away from it up in the stands,” joked Crook. “I-m not sure how long it has been since the announcement, obviously it-s a long off-season but no I-m looking forward to the game.”

Sydney are expected to field a number of their new signings mean fans will get the first glimpse of the likes of Croatian striker Kruno Lovrek, Panamanian international Yairo Yau, Iraqi international Ali Abbas, Socceroo defender Adam Griffiths and Brazilian Fabio in action.

“We-ll give everybody game time and we-ll work on some stuff we-ve been working on in the pre-season ,” he continued.

“Obviously with the two boys coming from overseas it will take time for them to settle in.

“It doesn-t matter how good a player they are settling into a new country is difficult but I-m sure through the year our supporters will get some enjoyment out of them.”

Tuesday-s game kicks off at 7:30pm.
