The sun is out, the weather is warm and the school holidays are almost upon us; it’s Sydney FC Spring Holiday Clinics time.
With six clinics set to be hosted across four venues, the September/October break is shaping up to be another bumper football packed two weeks.
Macquarie University will play host to the first clinic, one of two to be held at the venue, and it’s set to start with a bang as all the participants get an exclusive signing session with the entire Hyundai A-League squad.
Campbell Park, Chiswick will host the next session, in association with Abbotsford Junior Football Club, before the clinics move east to Centennial Parklands, the second venue to see two clinics over the break.
The second clinics at Macquarie University and Centennial Parklands are split by a session at Rockdale, back for the second time after enjoying a first ever clinic in June, and Sydney FC Community Football Officer Paul Reid can’t wait to get started.
“Even though the football season of the local juniors will have finished, it is a great opportunity to continue developing the kids skills and love of playing football,” Reid said.
“Whether it be a clinic at Macquarie University, Chiswick, Centennial Park or Rockdale, it is a great opportunity for boys and girls of all footballing abilities to have fun in the holidays.
“It will be an amazing experience for all the kids to meet some members of the Sydney FC squad during the three day clinic, as well as the chance to watch them play in the first game of the new A-League season”
