Marquee man Nick Carle says he’s proud to have been voted the Sydney FC fans player of the year after coming back from a disappointing first year at the club.
Marquee man Nick Carle says he-s proud to have been voted the Sydney FC fans player of the year after coming back from a disappointing first year at the club.
The Australian International-s performances saw him selected once again in the Socceroos squad this season and the midfielder was delighted the fans rated his displays as well.
“I-m very excited with the award, obviously they [the fans] are a big part of the club and it-s a privilege for me to be voted fans player of the year,” he said.
“Especially after a very disappointing first season where I spent a lot of time injured, and to come back and to prove to all the fans that I-m a worthy player, I was very proud to do that.”
Carle-s award was presented to him at the Sky Blue Ball by Cove member Grant Muir alongside host Vince Sorrenti.
