Wow, what a feeling, into another Hyundai A-League Grand Final and we’re as confident as ever!

Wednesday’s performance was a taste of what we can do. That first half especially, we dominated and showcased everything that made us the 2019/20 Premiers.

Perth barely touched the ball in those opening minutes and we never looked back, everyone knew what was at stake and there was no way were going out at this stage of the competition, it was joy to lead these boys to victory and I’m keen to do it all again on Sunday.

Onto Sunday, another Grand Final in this fantastic chapter in Sydney FC history. It’s a testament to everyone at the club from the Board to the Members and fans that we’ve been so consistent and successful in recent years – and there’s no signs of it stopping.

We have to chance to write more history too, as the most successful Australian football club in national league history, with no other side having won five Championships. It would be an honour to lead Sydney FC to that feat, and I know the squad will be doing everything to ensure we defend our crown.

This Sky Blues’ squad has plenty of big game experience, most of our boys have been to the Grand Final before, they know what’s expected and what to do, and I’m sure that experience will prove vital on the day.

Melbourne City will be worthy opponents, as the top two teams in the country it’s only right that we’re battling it out for the 2020 Championship.

We’ve enjoyed two tough encounters against City this season and I don’t think Sunday will be any different. I’m expecting the clash to go down to the wire, and it’ll be the team who can stay most composed that’ll prevail.

I’m really excited for Sunday, to have The Cove back in full voice in the Semi-Final was amazing and I know they’ll be even louder come the big day.

Bring on Sunday and bring on another Championship.
