Captain’s Column: 10 Years In The Making

header

Hi Everyone,

Looking back on last night’s game against Melbourne Victory I’m just over the moon. We’ve worked incredibly hard as a team and staff all season and to come out and perform like that, I would’ve been proud whatever way the game went.

The feeling of lifting the Premiers Plate after 10 years of really hard work is indescribable, and I’m just so happy for this group of girls. They all deserve it and are so dedicated – it’s a joy to share it with them.

After a tough game against Canberra last week, and with such a quick turnaround, we knew we had to tweak a few things on the training pitch. I couldn’t have been happier with the performance last night and that’s the main thing heading into finals.

It’s great to be taking home some silverware but we know the next big thing is waiting for us.

Getting on track for the finals, I think it’s important for all the girls to enjoy what they achieved last night and then it’s about getting our heads right for the Semi Final on Monday.

That is going to be such a huge game and I hope you can all come out and support us.

We can’t wait to see you there.

Have a great long weekend and a Happy Easter.
