Sydney FC defender Seb Ryall says every point is crucial as the Sky Blues look to stake their claim for a top four finish and secure finals football, starting against the Brisbane Roar on Friday night at Allianz Stadium (kick off 7:30pm).

With five games remaining the Sky Blues sit three points off second place in fourth, perched precariously above the remaining teams, and Ryall knows that the Sky Blues need to continue their form shown in their massive Sydney Derby victory if they are to secure a finals berth in a league as tight as the Hyundai A-League.

“Every match from now on is going to be vital and we need to pick up maximum points if we can,” Ryall said.

“It-s such a tight competition. We-ve had some tough periods but it-s a good squad that we have here and coming into the last matches we-ve got some big games and beating Western Sydney is good for everyone here.

“We-re a tight group so we-ve got the confidence in each other and anything can happen from here on in,” he continued.

“If you look at the ladder it-s so close between second all the way down to eight at the moment so it-s just a matter of picking up maximum points each week.”

Returning from an injury layoff, Ryall will be thrust straight into the action against the table toppers and knows he will face a stern test in the shape of A-League hitman Besart Berisha who sits second in the goal scoring charts on 10 goals.

“You can-t really pinpoint any one of their players they-re a great side,” Ryall said.

“They-ve got a great squad they play really good football and it-ll be a good test for us and we-re really up for it for sure.

“We-ve analysed Brisbane and we-ve got our game plan. It-s a good opportunity for us to play against the top team.

“We-re expecting a tough match but we-re at home and we-ve got the fans behind us.”

SKY BLUES HOST TABLE TOPPERS – Be at Allianz Stadium to see Sydney FC silence the Roar in a Friday night blockbuster. Two of the league-s most prominent scorers, Alessandro Del Piero and Besart Berisha, will face off, while Sasa Ognenovski comes up against the club that started his Hyundai A-League journey.
