John Aloisi-s stunning long range goal against Melbourne Victory at the Sydney Football Stadium on Sunday 14 February has been voted Sydney FC-s Goal of the Year.

Voted on by Sydney FC members, fans and open to the general public via the club-s website, it was Aloisi-s long range run and strike that catapulted Sydney to the Premiers Plate that stole the show.

It was one of many crucial goals Aloisi scored for Sydney FC this season with his double against Perth Glory at Parramatta Stadium on Sunday 7 February keeping the Sky Blues in a position to claim the Premiership.

Aloisi set a new club record this season for the most goals in a season by a Sydney FC player after finding the back of the net ten times and as a result received the club-s Golden Boot award. Overall, Aloisi has scored 19 goals in 55 A-League matches.
