Sydney FC Head Coach Graham Arnold has confirmed he’ll have all hands on deck for Saturday night’s Sydney Derby at Allianz Stadium (kick off 7:30pm).
After missing a large portion of his first choice strike force through international duty last week, Arnold said that he’d have the full squad available for selection with the return of Socceroo Bernie Ibini, Iraqi international Ali Abbas, Austrian Marc Janko and three U-20’s stars Gligor, Naumoff and Bouzanis.
“It’s all hands on deck and we’re looking forward to the game,” Arnold said.
“Bernie has arrived this morning, he’s already here and training today and he feels great. He got 30 minutes on Tuesday night so he’s back and fine.
“Ali Abbas arrives back tonight but we’ve spoken to him and he got through the game well, he’s fit, plus Marc obviously getting back a little earlier than expected.”
Arnold is looking forward to his first Sydney Derby and with over 40,000 Members and fans expected to file through the turnstiles, he said it won’t get any bigger than this during the regular season for the Sky Blues.
“It’s really exciting for me,” he said.
“When I first signed it was obviously one of the first games that I was looking forward to and without a doubt it’s the biggest derby of the three for us this year.
“The only other experience I’ve had with a big crowd like that against the Wanderers was when the Mariners beat them in the Grand Final 2-0 and that was a wonderful atmosphere as well,” he continued.
“With the derby being at Allianz with 42,000 people compared to when we do the derby at Parramatta for 18,500 it’s definitely the biggest derby of the season for us and one I’m especially looking forward to.”
