19. Mark Bridge
As one of the premier strikers in Australian football, Sydney FC’s Grand Final goal scoring hero will again lead the Sky Blues potent attack alongside Alex Brosque in 2010/11. Strong in the air, quick on his feet with finesse as well as roar power, Bridge is the perfect all round striking package. On top of netting nine times in 2009/10, including one in the Grand Final, the 24-year-old caused endless headaches for opposing defences and with his ‘never-say-die’ attitude is primed for another sterling A-League season. A Beijing Olympian, Bridge should see himself back in the Socceroos strip with another top year leading the Sky Blues attack and will combine perfectly with new marquee signing Nicky Carle. He scores goals when the team needs them the most and on the biggest occasions, Bridge will no doubt add to his tally of 26 A-League goals.
Bridge was selected for the 2008 Australian Olympic squad and played in Beijing wearing the green and gold.
