17. Matthew Jurman
Matthew Jurman

The talented 20-year-old defender moved to the harbour city from his home-town Wollongong after graduating from the AIS in 2007. After emerging from the Sky Blues’ youth system, Jurman has made several first team appearances in his preferred central defensive position. Jurman’s notable height and frame make for an intimidating presence on the pitch. The youngster’s international career is already underway, having representing the Qantas Young Socceroos at the 2008 AFC Youth Championships and the 2010 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt. Like many of his fellow younger teammates, Jurman will be hoping to see more time at the Sky Blues defence in 2010/11.
